Shortbread Toffee Cookies

Shortbread
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 cups flour
Toffee
- 14 oz. condensed milk
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons Karo syrup
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
Toffee
Bring all ingredients to boil over medium heat
Cook for 5 minutes stirring constantly
(When mixture pulls away from the sides of the pan, it is done. Depending on your stovetop, it may not require the full 5 minutes of cooking time.)
Remove from heat and stir in vanilla
Pour immediately over shortbread
Let set
