Lemon Lime Cupcakes that you make with actual Mountain Dew. That’s how you make these awesome cupcakes for the soda addict in your life.
I made these Mountain Dew cupcakes for my husband the year he started working for Disney Interactive Studios.
Everyone gets so excited when they find out my husband makes video games for a living. They think it’s like playing fortnight in your bedroom for hours drinking Mountain Dew to keep you awake while you battle your friends online.
The Truth About Working for a Game Studio

It takes a lot of production to make those video games you love – actually fun. It takes endless sleepless nights, tweaking code, scripting, fixing bugs and breaks, scrum meetings, constant stress and a lot more.
The play testers, the ones that do play video games for a living, they don’t play them either. They run and jump on walls over and over and over in the same spot to see if there is a bug that my husband then needs to go fix. Video game play testers job is to try and break the game.
Free Costco Runs
But they do get unlimited soda and snacks 24/7 so you don’t ever have to leave your desk.

Best blog post EVER!
Our godson (19) lives with us as he has had problems with his parents, and is a gamer and drinks Mountain Dew.
I think I will make him some of these cupcakes to cheer him up, and add a cup of coffee from my single cup coffee maker all doctored up the way he likes it to go along with the cupcakes.
Thanks for the great idea!
